Course Object

Chinese Express is a carefully orchestrated course provided by College of International Culture (CIC), South China Normal University. Based on highly-intensive training, various extracurricular activities, pure Chinese environment, the course aims to help students make breakthrough progress in Chinese listening, speaking, reading and writing in short term.

One-semester’s time, two or three semesters` progress

Level

Chinese ExpressⅠ

Be suitable for beginners.

HSK Band 3 -4 will be reached in one semester

Chinese ExpressⅡ

Be suitable for those whose HSK have reached Band 3(or above) or who have learned Chinese for more than a year.

HSK Band 5-6 will be reached in one semester.

Curriculum

Comprehensive Courses：Intensive Chinese, Intensive Practice;

Language skills Courses: Listening & Speaking; Reading & Writing;

Extensive Courses: HSK Preparation, Business Chinese and so on

Features

1. Small classroom teaching with maximum of 15 students.

2. A combination of classroom teaching with language practice after class.

3. One-to-one tutorial offered by qualified teachers.

4. To organize exchange activity between Chinese and foreign students, Chinese-speaking competition, Chinese reciting and Chinese corner, etc.

Morning: 8:30-11:50( MONDAY—FRIDAY)

Afternoon: 14:30—16:00 MONDAY—FRIDAY

Application Procedure

1. Log on to the website at http://istudy.scnu.edu.cn, set up an individual account, complete and submit Application Form.

2. Upload scanned passport,  scanned visa or HSK certificate(if available)

★Those who are not qualified for this course and want to have a try have to pass the exam organized by CIC.

Teaching period

One academic year is divided into two semesters: Spring semester and Autumn semester. There are 18- 20 weeks of actual teaching period each semester and 20 lessons each week.

Application Deadline

Spring semester (February-July): December 30.

Autumn semester (September-January): June 30.

Certificate

Upon the successful completion, a certificate will be issued by CIC, SCNU.

Fee

 Registration fee：RMB420

Tuition fee：RMB16，000 per semester
